Cub Scouts (8-10.5)

A Cub Scout Pack can have up to 36 Cub Scouts and is split into smaller groups called Sixes.

Cubs take part in a wide range of activities designed to be interesting and challenging. A Cub Scout meeting consists of games and activities with plenty of time spent outdoors.

Camps and holidays are some of the most memorable events of the year for Cubs. The Bedford and Ouse Valley Scout District hosts the annual District Cub Camp for all Cubs in the District at the Jordan’s Close campsite in September of each year, where approximately 90 young members across all Cub Packs in the District, each with a participating parent or guardian, gather together for team-based fun and challenges (and lots of cake).

HM King Charles III has been confirmed as our new Patron, a great honour for UK Scouts.

The King continues a long tradition of the monarch giving their Patronage, dating back to 1912. This was when Scouts was granted its Royal Charter and HM George V became our first Patron.
