All the activities were based around a theme of “100 Years of Cub Scouting”. The participants were put into teams for the weekend – all named after characters from the Jungle Book.

On Friday evening the weekend of fun commenced with a visit to the Oasis Beach Pool. Saturday saw the Cubs and their grown-ups taking part in boating on the river Great Ouse, a series of Cub challenges, climbing a scramble net, exploring a mobile caving system, land zorbing and speeding down one of the largest inflatable slides in the UK. They also experienced shooting, archery and an inflatable assault course before testing their cooking and scouting skills; making pizzas and scones on an open fire. They also did some mini pioneering with marshmallows and dried spaghetti – the Cubs particularly enjoyed eating the left over marshmallows!!!

The overall winner was team “Chil”.
